Laugh? Actually I did! For once. So I’ll let @FreeAgent do the gags on this one. As we saw previously in January’s great Panadol misfire, it’s tricky to wrangle humour into ads yet stay on-message. This is a great example of an advert that manages to be funny and deliver at the same time. Sure, the joke may go over the heads of some readers, but if you’re the target market you’ll likely find this funny, relatable and also understand it’s a solution to your small company’s accounting spreadsheet nightmare. As it happens, I can fully relate to this. And if you have a spare half hour, remind me to talk to you about the wonders of conditional formatting. I’m a hit at parties. ★★★★☆
